MGM Leo Breakdown

LEO Refresh -

On this MGM refresh at baked studios I was in charge of building the high res lion and getting it moving like the original.

First I replicated the original MGM Leo at 4k using high resolution photography.

Next the movement of the original Leo was extracted using nukes vector tools.

These vectors were applied to the high resolution Leo to create animated clips that were then stitched together.

Finally a massive amount of hand animation, warping and other compositing trickery was used to bring the whole thing together.
